Robert Schumann also has a set of pieces called Kinderszenen, which means ‘Scenes from Childhood’.
Be careful, nevertheless, when presenting such a composition as examination coursework. Examiners hope to see some thematic development in your work. Try and present a small motif in your work that changes slightly as the series progresses. One good example is the set called Enigma Variations by the composer Elgar. You can also sample this development from a single motif in step 9 of this unit.
