Do you remember how to add chords to a melody?

Try adding chords to the following melody. There are three possible ways of doing this.

  1. Placing the notes on a stave as a chord.
  2. Refer to the chords as numbers, I, IV or V – in the spaces. There is one box for each chord.
  3. Refer to the chords by name – C/E/G etc.

You decide. Remember that the key is C major.

You might like to refer to the chords I, IV and V first on the edge of the page.

Why not try performing the work with a partner? One of you can play the harmony whilst the other plays the chords.
